I am a graduate of Yunnan College of Art in Kunming, where I also qualified as a teacher. I have exhibited work at several venues both in the UK and internationally. Besides abstract painting in oils, I also create watercolours in the traditional style of my native China. However, I occasionally deviate from the Chinese figurative style to experiment with abstract forms using traditional brush painting techniques. Since moving to the UK, I have revived my skills as a portrait painter. A commissioned portrait “Betty” is currently on show in the Leeds to Innovation exhibition at Leeds Industrial Museum.
