Exhibit

Exhibit

A practical route into exhibiting, development, and professional practice. APS delivers exhibitions across multiple spaces. We use exhibition as a working method for learning, testing, and developing work.

We focus on reducing barriers to exhibiting, including cost, access, and lack of space. Our exhibitions sit within a wider system of mentoring and support, designed to help artists build confidence, test ideas, and move forward on their own terms.

What This Is

This is not a hire gallery. Exhibitions form part of a programme that supports artists to test work in public, develop ideas through presentation, and build the documentation and experience needed to progress their practice.

Routes to Exhibit

You can exhibit through three routes.

Open calls
Accessible entry points, including international opportunities. Some remove production and logistics barriers.

Programmes
Longer term development with mentoring, critique, and exhibition outcomes.

Projects and partnerships
Selected exhibitions developed with artists and organisations.

Why This Matters

Exhibiting is often limited by cost, access, and logistics.

Our model reduces those barriers and focuses on

Clear presentation
Professional installation
Documentation for the portfolio and funding
Structured support where needed

Exhibition as Learning

Exhibition is not just an outcome. It is part of how practice develops.

Work is tested in space
Decisions are made through display
Feedback is built through encounter

This sits alongside mentoring and artist development, creating a continuous route rather than a one off show.
