FAQ's

Do I have to pay a fee
Yes. The submission fee supports printing, framing, installation, and documentation. There are no exemptions.

How do I pay the fee
Payment is made online after completing the application form. Your application is only valid once the fee has been paid.

Can I submit multiple artworks
Yes. You can submit multiple images, but only one work will be selected for exhibition if successful.

Do I need to send my artwork
No. If selected, you send a digital file. We print, frame, and install your work.

File requirements
Format JPG, TIFF, or PDF
Resolution 300dpi
Size minimum 3000px on the longest side

What size will my work be printed
Works are printed at a size that ensures the best possible quality. This is typically around A4, but may vary depending on the file provided.

What paper will my work be printed on
Works are printed on high quality matt paper or similar. These are standard exhibition prints and are not produced as calibrated fine art editions.

Is this a real exhibition
Yes. This is a physical exhibition at The Mill Gallery. All selected works are installed in the gallery.

Will I get documentation
Yes. You will receive high quality images of your work installed in the exhibition. You will also have access to a digital publication, which you can download and print yourself if you wish. This reduces printing and postage costs and supports a more environmentally conscious approach.

Will this support my professional development or count as an international exhibition
Yes. Selected artists exhibit in a UK gallery and receive documentation of their work installed. This can support your portfolio, CV, and wider professional development, including demonstrating international exhibition experience.

Can this support applications such as visas or funding
Artists may choose to include exhibitions like this as part of their professional portfolio. We do not provide advice on visa or funding eligibility.

Can international artists apply
Yes. Artists can apply from anywhere. We handle production and installation in the UK.

I have access needs. Can I still apply
Yes. This exhibition removes many practical barriers by handling production and installation. If you have specific needs, contact us and we will do what we can to support you.

Can my work be for sale
Yes. The printed work may be offered for sale. This applies to the print produced for the exhibition, not your original artwork.

Can I get my artwork printed and sent to me after the exhibition
No. This project focuses on reducing cost, admin, and energy by handling production within the exhibition. Printing and shipping individual works would add significant costs and is not part of this model.

What happens to my artwork after the exhibition
Works are produced specifically for the exhibition. After the exhibition closes, prints are either disposed of or archived at the gallery’s discretion. We are not able to return printed works to artists.

What does the £25 fee cover
The fee supports printing, framing, installation, and documentation. There are no additional costs.

Why is there a fee
Exhibiting usually involves costs for printing, framing, shipping, and installation. This model reduces those barriers by handling everything for a single submission fee.
