Yangdzom Lama
Yangdzom Lama is a London-based artist who creates paintings and embroideries. A theme she explores is that of interconnectedness and, often, characters in her works are other animal species or animal-headed humans. Through her work, she aims to celebrate the beautiful diversity on Earth, and decrease human arrogance and the tendency to think humans hold more importance than other beings. She is also inspired by her Tibetan heritage and Buddhist teachings on compassion as well as art from various cultures across the world, past and present.
