Open Call for Artists

The Mill Gallery presents The Still & Me Exhibition: Fruit

Still Life offers artists, a way to hone their skills with objects that remain still. It’s a subject that comes in many forms and that is frequently taught allowing for experimentation. We know every artist has a different take on the subject – so, come and show us your still life arrangements! We want to see still life drawings, fruit, vegetables, flowers, skulls, and vessels and more. Surprise us with a modern day artwork inspired by a 16th century subject.

We have four open calls to look forward to which include four different subjects surrounding still life – fruit, land, bodies and animals. This open call is for the theme fruit.

We are looking for artists and creatives working with any medium but not restricted to (painting, sculpture, photography, drawing and print).

We charge a fee of £25 for 5 artworks. The Mill Gallery Curators will select up to 20 artworks to take part in each exhibition.

The exhibition will be open to the public for one month in February 2025. The Mill Gallery is currently in the last phases of construction so exact dates will be announced once the deadline has passed.

Alongside the exhibition we will be hosting a series of still life workshops from life drawing to painting. (Workshop dates to be announced).

If selected all artwork deliveries are to be arranged with the gallery using an appointment system.
