CALLING ALL ARTISTS!

APS Gallery presents Buy Art 2022, our first affordable art exhibition for pieces valued £300 or under!

We invite artists and creatives at any stage in their career working with any 2D medium including but not limited to painting, photography, and print. If it can be strung – we can hang it on the wall.

At Aire Place Studios we hope to reflect the creativity and diversity of artists in our gallery show as well as providing an important opportunity for artists to exhibit their work to the public. This exhibition aims to bring together fantastic works from local, Leeds, and artists located to the surrounding areas. Our intention is to broaden the public perception of affordable art.

Artists are invited to submit 3 pieces of art (80 x 60cm or smaller) to be considered for the exhibition. Only one piece will be physically available in the exhibition, but we will be selling art work right off the wall! So when it sells the buyer can take it straight away and you can send us another piece to be displayed in the show.

As well as the physical show artists will also be featured in an online exhibition on our website where they will have the opportunity to showcase and sell up to 3 artworks.

The exhibition will run from 4 Nov 2022 – 20 Jan 2023. Buy Art will be open to the public on Fridays and includes a public opening event on Friday 4th November (6:30pm – 9:30pm).

We charge a fee of £25 per artist once they have been selected for the exhibition.

Terms and Conditions:

Works must be delivered / shipped to the gallery by 28th October (all shipped work MUST include a prepaid return postage)

All work must be original artwork, or limited edition prints to be part of the Exhibition.

We charge a non-refundable fee of £25 per artist once they have been selected for the exhibition.

All exhibition artwork must be for sale and under £300. We charge 25% commission from any sales made during the exhibition. All proceeds from the Buy Art exhibition 2022 are used for the promotion and exhibition. Any additional funds are donated to APS Gallery for the continuation of the programme of exhibitions.

If your artwork sells during the exhibition, you must send new work to replace the sold piece.

If your artwork sells through our website, and it is a piece the gallery is not currently stocking it is your responsibility to ship the artwork to the buyer.

Please make sure you are available for one of the drop off and collection dates below:

Drop off Dates (1pm – 4pm): Wednesday 26th October, Thursday 27th October or Friday 28th October 2022.
Collection Date of any unsold works (1pm – 4pm): Wednesday 25th January, Thursday 26th January or Friday 27th January 2023.

All unsold work must be collected by 27th January 2023. Please note we have limited storage space so if work is not collected within agreed time frames there will be a storage cost of £2.50 per day.
Participants agree that any works left at Aire Place Studios after 30 days will be deemed unwanted and therefore be added to the charity auction lot list or disposed of.

APS Gallery are not liable for any loss or damage incurred to the artwork if shortlisted and exhibited, and advises all artists to seek their own insurance.
