“I’m Sam! I’m a transgender, autistic, UK-based illustrator and 2D artist. These days, I primarily work digitally, developing a bold, graphic style – specialising in a limited palette.
Since young childhood I have always felt different, separate, an onlooker… an alien, both socially and within my own body. That’s probably why so many aliens crop up so often in my work… My aim as an artist has always been to increase representation for often overlooked and unheard experiences, especially those around being trans, LGBTQ+, autistic/with disabilities/learning differences.”
