A synthesis of sculpture and photography, Penny Idol$ highlights a pound shop aesthetic, glamorising kitsch, or defamiliarizing the mundane. The show aims to target nostalgia, and question sof taste using ambitious photographic manipulation to push the ordinary object into higher realms of being. 

The gaudy, the tacky, and the downright daring are explored within this set of photographs, to which we imagine experimentally curated, make for a vibrant ‘pop’. Pippa Eason & Emily Tomasso are a collaborated to bring the notions of ‘objecthood’ and photography together, adjoining the two mediums in an overload to the senses, we play on their popular culture image
