Landscapes have been depicted in many ways throughout history with representations often intertwined with deeper layers of meaning. The shape of the land could be reflective of a body, a solitary tree symbolic of personal struggles, or simply a moment captured that explores the elements of light, space, and time.
APS Gallery presents Inside Outside, a new exhibition featuring artists who invite their viewers to look closer at landscapes. This visual treat explores how artists take inspiration from the land around us. Expect to see bold and colourful landscape artworks, from miniature oil paintings that are impactful on a small scale, to flowing scenes and vistas, and multi-layered 2D sculptural works.
“It is exciting to be able to show artwork alongside fellow artists where landscape is key to their practice. There are so many incredible artworks to be seen in this exhibition and with every artwork on show there is a story entwined within it. So come and see how we have captured the world around us, inside and outside.” Lucy Morrison, Artist.
This exhibition showcases the diverse talents of four Associate Members of Aire Place Studios: Sarah Francis, Lucy Morrison, Ashley Ferrari and Joss Cole.
Artworks on display in the APS Gallery will be available to purchase; prices start from £100.
Exhibition Dates: 24 March – 12 May 2023.
